Dog Loves To Go To The Skate Park With His Dad Dog Loves To Go To The Skate Park With His Dad We all know our dogs can do lots of tricks—their sits, shakes, and lies are some of the most popular TikTok hits in history. But one dog in particular seems to have quite a knack for skateboarding. The pup was filmed by his father skating around at a skate park in Southern California and showing off his skills. It’s actually pretty simple to teach your dog to skateboard. You just have to get them comfortable with standing on the board, then slowly introduce movement. It’s unlikely that they’ll do ollies, but even just pushing the board with their front legs while their back legs peddle behind can be fun for them and satisfying to watch. Skiatook dad leads effort to build a city skateboard park Jake Washburn is trying to bring a skateboard park to his hometown of Skiatook, Oklahoma. His sons are already skating, so he felt the need to bring something to his neighborhood. FOX23 reports that Washburn has been meeting with the city council to bring this project to life.
Senior Chihuahua Turns Into A Puppy Once He Finds The Perfect Family Brutus, like most seniors, is working on his quirks like food reactivity and occasional crankiness. However, he has the heart of a puppy and loves to go on walks, play with toys, go for car rides and snuggle with his humans for a nice nap. We are hoping he finds a forever home soon so that he can continue his life of adventure. Brutus would make a great hiking partner, walking well on leash and not pulling. He does best in a home without children. He also struggles to meet new people and needs a patient family that can build trust with him. Sweety came to us from the Angleton shelter in Texas. She is a 45 lb terrier mix who has been with us since August. She is a very active girl who can be a little mouthy when excited, but with boundaries, obedience training and consistency she will blossom into the perfect dog. She has been with other dogs and does very well with them, but she will do best in a home with slow introductions and proper decompression to ensure her safety. Motor is a handsome brindle boy with a DOB of 02/14/2023. He and 11 of his siblings were born to a large breed mom that was being cared for by a good Samaritan who took her in and the rest of her puppies after she got sick. He is very smart and knows some commands already (sit, down, stay, come, shake and kennel) and is working on housebreaking. He gets along with other small and medium sized dogs in foster but is a little scared of larger ones.
Tiny Dog Thanks Her Rescuer In The Sweetest Way Tiny Dog Thanks Her Rescuer In The Sweetest Way Angela Adan is a long-time animal rescuer who has seen it all, but never was she so moved as when she saw a tiny chihuahua with bulging eyes, too many teeth and splayed front legs at the local shelter. The senior pup would have otherwise been euthanized, but instead Angela took her in to her own ragtag pack of dogs at her home. After a quick examination of her, the tiny chihuahua began to lick and touch her face in a way that clearly conveyed her gratitude. See the touching moment in the video below. Adopting a Judgmental Chihuahua A little chihuahua named Tina was adopted at Lily’s Legacy after a woman came to the shelter saying her dog had died and she needed to get rid of it. This sweet girl was about to be put down until a volunteer saw her, called us and brought her to our adoption center. She found her perfect forever home with a family, a big yard and a canine companion. We are so happy that she has found her happy ending. When Kaycee met Tina at the adoption event she was a bit nervous because her previous dog Beebs had recently passed away and she wasn’t sure if she could take on another dog so soon. But she was quickly blown away by this tiny dog with a big personality. Tina was so human-like and had so many unique quirks that she instantly fell in love with her. Tina was diagnosed with some rotten teeth, had an ugly growth removed from her front paw and got well on her way to a full recovery! This sweet girl had been living in a pen without any TLC or human interaction. Today, she headed off to her forever home in the bay area with a loving family and a dog sister! She’s settling in really nicely, getting along great with her new canine brother and just being the little spitfire she is. Her mom says she doesn’t have a single regret about adopting this lovable devil!
Busy Chihuahua Momma See Playlist Of This Litter Busy Chihuahua Momma See Playlist Of This Litter Chihuahuas have a special way of connecting with their owners. These small dogs love their humans with a fiery passion and can be protective of them, especially from strangers who may not treat them well. Their small stature gives them an enigmatic appearance that has given rise to many false stereotypes. They’re quick to learn with a positive training approach, but can also be stubborn and prone to anxiety and stress. They love to take walks and are very good at that. However, their small size and high energy levels make them prone to exhaustion very quickly. They have a bit of a complex in that they think they’re much bigger than they really are and will bark at and sniff other larger dogs. Providing that you show them you’re not a threat, they can be super brave on their walks! Potty Training The most important thing you can do for your new chihuahua is to potty train them so they know where it is okay to go outside and where it’s not. This will prevent accidents in the house and also help them get used to going outdoors and being around other animals. Be patient and consistent with your training, and you’ll be impressed with how well your chihuahua takes to it! It’s recommended to use a clicker or a treat-based reward system while you’re teaching your dog. This will help them associate their actions with a positive consequence and encourage them to do what you want them to do.
Man Who Hates Small Dogs Gets A Chihuahua Watch Their Nightly Bedtime Routine Man Who Hates Small Dogs Gets A Chihuahua Watch Their Nightly Bedtime Routine There are many reasons why people may dislike small dogs, such as they're often yappy, lack physical capabilities, tend to be more defensive or aggressive, are not seen as "macho" or "herding" dogs, or because of negative past experiences with a small dog. However, with time and proper management, the right dog can win you over in a heartbeat. Sheridan and her husband, Sinclair, recently adopted a Chihuahua named Pickles who won their hearts from the moment they met her. Sheridan had to convince Sinclair that the stereotypes about Chihuahuas are untrue, and he was hesitant to agree. But after he saw how loving and sweet Pickles was, he agreed to help care for her. Now, they take her for daily walks and run errands together. Sheridan says she doesn't even need to brush her because their short-coated chihuahua is very low maintenance. And they both love how she greets everyone with a huge hug and treats them like her favorite people in the world. If you have a dog that doesn't get along with one family member, it's important to address the issue right away so it doesn't escalate into a full-fledged fight or bite. Crate training, baby gates, exercise pens, and/or tethering (under supervision) are all great ways to keep your dogs safe and secure while they work out their issues. And remember that canines can understand what you're saying, so it's important to speak softly and in a soothing tone of voice.
